Álftanes

Álftanes is a low-lying peninsula which extrudes from the eastern part of Reykjanes, located in Iceland's Greater Reykjavík Area.

The municipality of Bessastaðahreppur is located on Álftanes, as is the residence of the President of Iceland, Bessastaðir.
