From http://www.acadianbus.com:

A member of Groupe Orléans Express Inc., Acadian is Maritime Canada's oldest intercity coach carrier. They provide daily service to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI.

Acadian's history dates back to 1937, when its first buses rolled out under the name SMT (Eastern) Ltd . . . In 1995, SMT (Eastern) Ltd. expanded through the acquisition of Acadian Lines Ltd. and Nova Charter Services Ltd., enabling the newly formed Groupe Acadian Lines to offer its customers an even wider range of services: traditional transportation, package delivery, and chartering.

In March 2004, Acadian Lines joined forces with Groupe Orléans Express, making it the leader in Eastern Canada's intercity transportation market.

Through a partnership signed in 2002 with the French group Keolis, an international specialist in public transport, Groupe Orléans Express has acquired a new dimension and stronger expertise to take on future challenges.

Groupe Orléans Express employs 500 people, and carries an annual 1.7 million intercity passengers, as well as nearly 1 million packages.
