Adam Aircraft Industries
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Adam Aircraft Industries (AAI) is an aircraft manufacturer founded by George F. Adam Jr and John C. Knudsen at Centennial Airport in Arapahoe County, Colorado, in 1998.
The company is currently developing a pair of related civil utility aircraft, the piston-engined Adam A500, and the larger, turbojet-powered Adam A700 AdamJet. The latter is one of a number of (relatively) low-cost business jets, sometimes called Very Light Jets (VLJs), currently under development by several newly-established aircraft manufacturers.
In conjunction with other partners, the company also recently won a major contract from DARPA for the development of a next-generation rotorcraft, potentially signaling its longer-term product development plans.
