Adelidae is the name of a family of moths that contains the fairy moths. Fairy moths have a wingspan of 4-28 millimeters, with long antennae 1-3 times as long as the forewing. They can be found over much of North America and Eurasia from April to June. The larvae feed on bits of leaves on the ground, and the adults feed on nectar from herbaceous (woody) plants.
