[edit] History

Aer Arann was established in 1970 to provide an island hopping air service from Galway to the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland. In 1994 Padraig O'Ceidigh purchased the airline and began to expand its routes and fleet, launching scheduled services in 1998. Today Aer Arann is one of the fastest growing regional airlines in Europe with a turnover of EUR94 million and passenger numbers in excess of 1 million. The airline now operates over 600 flights per week with a fleet of fourteen ATR aircraft across Ireland, the UK, France and currently employs over 400 staff.
