Akita Sanesue (秋田実季, 1576 - 1660) was a Japanese samurai.

He was the second son of Ando Chikasue, and warlord of Dewa.

During the year of 1588, Sanesue clashed with the Nanbu family and defeated the Onodera. During the Battle of Sekigahara in the year of 1600, Sanesue supported the likes of Tokugawa Ieyasu, but wasn't very useful due to a bad illness.

Due to that fact, Sanesue was transferred to Shishido in Hitachi (50,000 koku) in 1602 by Ieyasu. In 1632 Sanesue was again transferred to Asama in Ise Province.
