Alberta provincial highway 11

Alberta provincial highway 11 is a major highway in central Alberta. It is known as the David Thompson Highway, and runs from Saskatchewan River Crossing in Jasper National Park east through Nordegg, Alberta, Rocky Mountain House and Red Deer until it connects with Alberta provincial highway 12, 20 km west of Stettler.

It intersects Highway 734 at Nordegg, Cowboy Trail at Rocky Mountain House, Queen Elizabeth II Highway, Highway 2A at Red Deer and Highway 21 near Alix.


[edit] Highway 11A

Highway 11A is a spur north of Highway 11, connecting the town of Sylvan Lake and the city of Red Deer. It is currently being expanded, with plans to become a freeway by the year 2020.[citation needed]
