Alessandro Alessandri (14611523) was an Italian jurist. Born in Naples, he studied law and served as an advocate for Naples and Rome. Later, disenfranchised by what he saw as a corrupt administration, he began studying philology and antiquities. He compiled a book called Dies Geniales, constructed after the model of the Noctes Atticae of Aulus Gellius, and the Saturnalia of Macrobius. It comprises a nonsequential listing of items related to philology, antiquities, law, dreams, etc.
