All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation

The All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation was founded by General Choi Hong Hi in June 1979 in Oslo. It is the continental federation for Taekwon-Do in Europe. There are 30 member countries.
The current President is Mr Tadeusz Łoboda (6th dan; from Poland)), with Mr Coos van de Heuvel (6th dan; from the Netherlands) as Vice President, and Mr Jerzy Jedut (6th dan; from Poland) as Secretary General. Sitting on the Board of Directors are Master Sheena Sutherland (7th dan; from Scotland), Master Brendan O'Toole (7th dan; from Ireland), Master Donato Nardizzi (7th dan; from England), Mr Slavko Jereb (6th dan; from Croatia), Mr Örjan Eriksson (4th dan; from Sweden), and Mr Marius Oltean (5th dan; from Romania).
There are also several committees serving different functions: The Technical Committee, the Tournament and Umpire Committee, the Disciplinary Committee, and the Scientific and Research Committee.
The AETF organises the European Championships every year, with the 21st Championships being in Romania in May 2006. The First European Championships were held in the Netherlands. Each member country enters their top competitor for each event and category, with the winners gaining the title of European Champion.
The First AETF European Cup, hosted by TKD Impact, was held in England in October 2005. This is designed to be a club competition, open to anyone from Blue belt and above, with competitors gaining points for their club in the hope of winning the Cup.
