| Pterocarpus indicus Willd. |
The Angsana (Pterocarpus indicus), also known as Burmese Rosewood, is a tree. Its fruits have wing-like structures which facilitate dispersal of its seeds by wind.
It is known as Narra in the Philippines, Sonokembang in Indonesia, Angsana or Sena in Malaysia and Singapore, and Pradu in Thailand.
Narra is the national tree of the Philippines. It is sought after for use as furniture. In many areas the tree has been extirpated due to illegal logging.
