An Arctic roll is a British dessert made of ice cream wrapped in sponge cake to form a roll, often with jam between the sponge and the ice cream. It is commonly served in school. Americans do not generally know this phrase, but it is sometimes called Icebox Cake in the United States, and the ice cream may be replaced by whipped cream. The name comes from that of another dessert, the jam roll (known in the United States as jelly roll). Arctic Log refers to the same dessert dipped in chocolate.

A common brand of commercially produced artic roll is Birdseye.
