Around the Moon, Jules Verne's sequel to From the Earth to the Moon, is a science fiction novel continuing the trip to the moon which left the reader in suspence after the previous novel. It was later combined with From the Earth to the Moon to create A Trip to the Moon and Around It.

The bullet-shaped projectile that the crew has traveled to the moon in is deviated from the course by a tiny asteroid. The asteroid occured to be hypothetical in this period Earth's second moon. Somehow, they make it home safely, flying around the moon similar way to Apollo 13 in 1970, but they do not get to land on the moon because of the asteroid.
