Ashland University is a 4-year college located in Ashland, Ohio. It has a 120-acre campus with 44 modern buildings. It was founded in 1878 and is historically related to the Brethren Church. The school considers Judeo-Christian values to be the foundation of the educational and social environment of the university.

The university enrolls a total of 6,500 students, 2,100 of whom are full-time undergraduate students. 85% of students are from Ohio. There are 200 members of the faculty, and 80% hold the highest degree in their field. The student to faculty ratio is 16:1.

Ashland was accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools in 1934.[1] For its more specific programs it has accreditation from the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, National Association of Schools of Music National League for Nursing, Council on Social Work Education, and the American Chemical Society
