AsianWeek is an English-language covering the Asian American community, published in San Francisco. It was founded in 1979 by the late John T.C. Fang.
It is one of the mostly widely circulated newspapers of pan-Asian news, across all Asian ethnic groups,[citation needed] providing coverage of Asian American issues such as the killing of Vincent Chin, Asian American college admissions, and quotas on Chinese in competitive San Francisco examination schools. Today Asian Week continues to publish cartoons, commentaries, and cultural features, as well as a website.
