Augustus Bradford

Augustus Williamson Bradford (January 9, 1806 – March 1, 1881), a Democrat, was the 32nd Governor of Maryland in the United States from 1862 to 1866.
Born in 1806 in Bel Air, Maryland, he was a staunch supporter of the Union during the American Civil War, even though much of Maryland supported the Confederacy. He died in 1881 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is buried at the Greenmount Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland.
