B. D. Wong

Image:Mukada2.jpg Bradley Darryl Wong (Chinese: 黃榮亮 Jyutping: Wong4 Wing4 Leung6;; pinyin: Huáng Róngliàng) (born October 24, 1962) is a Chinese-American actor.

He is probably best-known for his role as Dr. George Huang on Law & Order: SVU or his role as Dr. Henry Wu in Jurassic Park.

Wong gained attention for his Broadway debut in M. Butterfly. The play won multiple awards, including several for Wong. He is notable as being the only actor to have been honored with the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Clarence Derwent Award, and Theatre World Award[1] for the same performance. He has has had starring roles in All American Girl, Oz, Jurassic Park and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, with guest appearances on The X-Files and Sesame Street.

Born in San Francisco, California as Bradley Darryl Wong, he attended Lincoln High School before graduating from San Francisco State University. He is currently on the board of advisors for the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE).

He is openly gay and was presented the Davidson/Valentini Award at the 14th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

In 1999, Wong and his partner, Richie Jackson, hired a surrogate mother to bear their child. Jackson's sister provided the ovum. The mother gave birth to a set of male twins on May 28, 2000. One, Boaz Dov Wong, died at birth as a result of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome; the other, Jackson Foo Wong, was adopted by the couple. Wong later wrote a book about the experience entitled Following Foo: the Electronic Adventures of the Chestnut Man.
