[edit] Career
[edit] Sooner or Later
In 1999 when "Back Here" was first released it barely made the top-40 in the UK charts. BBmak's debut album "Sooner or Later" was released in 2000 and sold over one million copies. And the re-release of "Back Here" gained more publicity and the single climbed to #5 on the UK chart, #13 on the US Hot 100 Charts and #1 on the US Adult Contemporary Chart. The band's next single, "Still On Your Side," reached #8 in the UK and #54 in the US. BBmak closed the year with sold out concerts and a live performance on MTV in Times Square on New Year's Eve. In 2001 BBmak released a DVD called "Sooner Or Later: Our First Year in America" and their third single "Ghost of You and Me" peaked at #8 on the US Adult Contemporary Charts.
[edit] The Princess Diaries Soundtrack
In July, 2001, BBmak appeared in The Princess Diaries soundtrack with the track "Miss You More."
[edit] On The Line Soundtrack
In October, 2001 Christian was featured along with *NSYNC's Lance Bass and Joey Fatone, Mandy Moore, and True Vibe, for the On The Line original soundtrack's first single "On The Line". BBmak also appeared in the soundtrack with the track "Don't Look Down."
[edit] Into Your Head
In August, 2002 BBmak's second album "Into Your Head" was released, and introduced a "nu-breed" sound, with more emphasis on harmonies. The album reached #25 on the Billboard 200. The first single, "Out of My Heart (Into Your Head)", peaked at #56 on Hot 100 Charts and #25 on the Adult Contemporary Chart. In 2003, their next single "Staring Into Space" was released.
[edit] Solo Careers
BBMak broke up in 2003, and Barry, Burns and McNally all went on to pursue solo careers. After resting for a short while, Stephen began to write songs about his experiences, passions and where he is in life now, while Christian formed a new band called "Inhaler."
