Baglan Bay
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Baglan Bay is a district and community of Neath Port Talbot county borough, south Wales. Baglan Bay is a re-generation area and new light industries have sprung up.
Baglan Bay is home to a recently built modern highly-efficient gas fired power station. The power station sits on the site formerly occupied by the BP Baglan Bay chemical works which produced industrial alcohol. Sometimes when excess chemicals were produced, they would be burnt off in the large chimney stack, lighting up the whole of the night sky in a red glow that could be seen for miles around.
Baglan Moor in the area contains a large traveller caravan site.
