- Project SEA-WE-MEA4 = DWDM 1.28- Tbit/s network. It will connect Bangladesh into the Internet Information Superhighway through submarine fiber-optic (Alcatel, Fujitsu) cable with a landing site at Cox’s Bazar. The facility is to be operational by July 2005. Once fully operational, it will establish the nationwide Internet backbone.
- DSL = Digital Subscriber Line.
- ISDN = Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is a type of circuit switched telephone network(CSTN) system, designed to allow digital transmission of voice and data over ordinary telephone copper wires.
