Bartholomew Columbus (Spanish: Bartolomé Colón; Italian: Bartolomeo Colombo; *c. 1461; †1515) was the younger brother of explorer Christopher Columbus.
Bartolomeo Columbus accompanied Christopher Columbus on his fourth voyage. Upon this voyage, he founded the city of Santo Domingo de Guzmán between 1496 and 1498. This became Santo Domingo, which is the capital of the Dominican Republic.
