The Bell Model 407 is a civil utility helicopter, a derivative of the Bell Model 206L-4 "LongRanger". The 407 uses a 4-bladed rotor system with a rigid, composite rotor hub instead of the 2-bladed conventional rotor of the Model 206. The basic systems of the 407 are nearly identical to those in the 206L-4.
