Bill Lawrence (born 1969<ref name=IMDBbio>Biography page at Internet Movie Database</ref>) is a creator, writer, producer, and director of television programs.

Lawrence has written for hit shows including Friends, Boy Meets World, and The Nanny and produced the animated series Clone High. He is also the creator of the sitcoms Spin City and his current venture, Scrubs, which is in its sixth season (of at least seven) on NBC. He is also one of the producers of the rejected television pilot Nobody's Watching, which in June 2006 started appearing at various sites on the World Wide Web.[citation needed]

Along with many Scrubs cast members, Bill Lawrence also has a small role playing himself in It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie in a scene with Miss Piggy.

He is married to actress Christa Miller, known for her roles on The Drew Carey Show and Scrubs. The couple have three children: Charlotte Sarah (2000), William Stoddard (2003), and Henry Vanduzer (2006).<ref name=IMDBbio />
