Binham

Binham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It is situated about 5 miles (8 km) south-east of the seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea and 28 miles (45 km) north-west of the city of Norwich.<ref name=osexp251>Ordnance Survey (2002). The civil parish has an area of 11.52 km² and in the 2001 census had a population of 273 in 124 households. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk.<ref name=osnncc>Office for National Statistics & Norfolk County Council (2001). The village is dominated by the remains of the Benedictine St Mary's Priory. Today the nave of the much larger priory church has become the Church of St. Mary and the Holy Cross and is still used as a place of worship.
