In jazz, Birdland may refer to:

The term birdland comes from Bird the nickname of great jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker. Jazz pianist George Shearing wrote a song called "Lullaby of Birdland".
  • Birdland was the name of a moderately successful indie band from England in the late 1980s.
  • Birdland is a 2003 recording under the Yardbirds name by the reformed band (lineup: Chris Dreja, Jim McCarty, Gypie Mayo, John Idan, Alan Glen) with the participation of former member Jeff Beck and various other rock guitar luminaries.
  • Birdland was a short-lived TV drama series about a psychiatrist who worked at a hospital in Oakland, California.[1]
  • A fictional Birdland comic appears in the novel Drawing Blood by Poppy Z. Brite.
