Bob Florence

Bob Florence is a jazz arranger and pianist born in Los Angeles on May 20, 1932. He began taking piano lessons at five and initially intended to be a concert pianist. However on taking classes with Bob McDonald he changed direction toward jazz. By the mid-1950s he formed his own big band. In 2000 he won a Grammy Award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album.
