Bobbi Humphrey

Bobbi Humphrey is a female jazz flautist whose music style cover fusion, jazz-funk and soul-jazz. She was raised in Dallas, TX and in university was urged by Dizzy Gillespie to persue her musical career in New York. In 1971 Bobbi Humphrey was the first woman to sign a record deal with Blue Note Records. She continued recording during the 1970s and 80s and later of founded her own record label, Paradise Sounds.
