The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs are a professional ice hockey team which plays in the Bossier City-Shreveport metropolitan area of Louisiana. They are a member of the Central Hockey League. They play their home games at CenturyTel Center.

From 1997-2001 the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs were in the WPHL. Since 2001 the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs have been playing in the Central Hockey League. From 1997 until 2000 they were known as the Shreveport Mudbugs. From 2000 until current they have been known as the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.

One of the few successful sports teams to ever grace the Bossier-Shreveport area, the Mudbugs found success early. Heading into their tenth year of hockey (2006-2007), the Mudbugs come off of a very successful post season, making it to the Ray Miron President's Cup Finals for the second time in three years. Coached by former Mudbug player Scott Muscutt, owned by fan John Madden, and represented on the radio by the voice of the Mudbugs, Justin Scholtes [Former radio voice Steve Mears left on August 1, 2006 to join the NHL's New York Islanders], the team has increased attendance each year and will host the All-Star festivities for the Central Hockey League in 2007. The Mudbugs maintain heated rivalries with the Laredo Bucks, Memphis RiverKings, and Colorado Eagles.

They are also the affiliates of the Rochester Americans (AHL) and the Buffalo Sabres (NHL).
