Bossk is a Trandoshan slaver that shows up in many Star Wars comics and novels and the film The Empire Strikes Back. He makes an appearance in The New Jedi Order series, in Jim Luceno's Agents of Chaos I: Hero's Trial and saying "But what's one flee-ridden Wookiee or another? Why don't you just go out and get yourself another one?" to Han Solo's face. Han responds by punching him in the face, for which he is detained. Chewbacca had died in a previous book in the series. But the first record of Bossk was when he commits his first act of murder. He hatches from his egg and shows his teeth to his father, then quickly eats his unhatched sisters and brothers. But Bossk is best known for his brief appearance in the fifth film. There is no record of his death, and he also makes an appearance in one of the anthologied from Bantam Spectra Books. The most recent sighting of Bossk was in Hero's Trial, after it says "Han threw the pounch that started it all."

There is speculation among Star Wars fans that a novel may be written focusing on Bossk. Unfortunately it seems that all of the books mentioning Bossk focus more on the other five or so bounty hunters.
