Bow Rider
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Bow Rider is a kind of runabout boat with an open bow area where there are extra seats in front of the helm station. It can hold six to ten people.
NOTE: Bow Riding is a highly dangerous and illegal activity and not to be confused with the Bow Rider kind of boat. Bow Riding is sitting or standing on the bow itself while the boat is underway with legs dangling off the front of the boat.
A Bow Rider boat is well suited for almost all recreational water sports (tubing, water skiing, swimming, etc.) except fishing for which a Center Console or Walkaround is better.
A Bow Rider is not good in heavy seas as it can get swamped because the bow is open and usually low.
