Buca is a district of İzmir Province of Turkey. It is one of the metropolitan districts of Greater İzmir. It was one of the preferred settlement points of the formerly sizable Levantine population of İzmir. The great mansions built by the Levantines in the 19th century still stand to this day, most of them restored.
