Bumbu

Bumbu is a district in the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kinshasa. The district is in the hilled southern portion of the city and settlement is relatively new. It lies in the vicinity of the Kasa-Vubu and Kalamu boulevards.

Bumbu is a designation of a spicy dish common to Indonesia. An example of a Bumbu as a blend of spices would include cinnamon, star anise, coriander seed, cumin seed, cardomom and chili, crushed up and cooked down into a gravy. The exact composition of the spices appears to have many regional variations. Bumbu is a popular roadside fast food in Indonesia, most commonly sold as beef or chicken satays.
