Cacciucco

Cacciucco (cah-CHOO-koh) is an Italian fish stew consisting of several different types of meat and/or fish cooked together with vegetables and large quantities of garlic and chilli peppers. Cacciucco is popular on all the regions on the Thyrrenian Sea but most ofted indicated as originary of the zone around Livorno/Leghorn. Sometimes described as the Italian version of Bouillabaisse it differs for having no saffron in it and an higher quota of tomatoes.
