The Calico Fantail is smaller and has a more beautiful colour schemes on it's belly and around the face.
These type of fish mix extremely well with other fish big or small, many people have Calico Fantails with lots of different fish like:
But it would not be wise to keep such a small fish with a fish larger than itself as this can cause stress to the fish which will make it become ill.
They can live to be at least 15 years old and through time their colours with start with a gravelly brown colour to a orangey-gold colour over the body. Also, the tail will become bigger through age.
