[edit] History
Cariris is one of the most famous brand of flip flops in the world. They are made in Brazil and compete with havaianas flip flops for the prizes position of Brazil's top flip flop.[citation needed]
Since 1963, they outdate the supposedly more popular havaianas brand and have been exported to almost every single country in the world.[citation needed] Cariris are very well regarded for their relation with charity as many projects have been set up to help Brazilian people. They insist on better working practices and contribute to the community. But perhaps their most dramatic charity collaboration was with the save the children fund, creating the new "Lance Armstrong wrist band" of flip flops.
