Carrot Top (born Scott Thompson on February 25, 1965 (though he has claimed in interviews to be born in 1967 and 1969) in Cocoa Beach, Florida) is an American prop comedian famous for his red hair and television commercials. According to his official site Carrot Top spends fifteen weeks a year doing live performances in Las Vegas (currently performing at the Luxor Hotel) and does over 100 shows a year on tour. His comedy routine is most known for his comedic use of props (a "Prop comic"). He was also the continuity announcer for Cartoon Network between 1995 and 1999.

Carrot Top grew up in Florida where his father, Larry, was a rocket scientist who trained astronauts for the Gemini and Apollo programs.<ref name="bio">Carrot Top - Biography. Retrieved 3 November 2006.</ref> He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.<ref name="bio"/> When someone suggested he try out for the college talent show he tried a few old jokes, but found real success the next year when he added a few props to his act.

Carrot Top has also appeared in movies, including 1998's Chairman of The Board, and has served as a spokesman in commercials for AT&T.
