This category contains flora that are native to, or naturalised in, Western Australia. Taxa that are introduced but not naturalised are excluded. Taxa of the lowest rank are always included. Higher taxa are included only if endemic.
The categorisation scheme follows the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions, in which the Territory of Ashmore and Cartier Islands is treated as subordinate to Western Australia, even though politically it is an external territory of the Commonwealth of Australia.
