The history of clothing (ancient Rome) covers clothing associated with ancient Rome, beginning with clothing worn on the Italian peninsula in the Roman kingdom (c. 753 BC - 506 BC), through the Roman Republic (506 BC - 44 BC) and up to fall of the western Roman empire (44 BC - 476 AD). Clothing worn in the eastern Roman Empire may be categorized under History of clothing (ancient Greece) (c. 200 BC - 330 AD) or under History of clothing (Byzantine) (330 AD - 1453 AD).
