Celebrity Cruises is a cruise line founded in 1989 by the Greek Chandris Group. In 1997 Celebrity Cruises Ltd. merged with Royal Caribbean International to become Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., which operates Celebrity and the Royal Caribbean International line, and RCL(UK) Ltd.

Celebrity Cruises has ordered three new ships, the Solstice, the Equinox, and a third unnamed ship. These are to become Celebrity's largest vessels, holding 2,850 people each, and measuring 1,033 feet in length, and 121 feet across. They will be delivered in Fall 2008, Summer 2009, and Summer 2010.
