Cerise (pronounced IPA: [sə'ɹi:s] or IPA: [sə'ɹi:z] in English and IPA: [səʀiz] in French) is a deep to vivid purplish red. The name comes from the French word meaning cherry. The word "cherry" itself comes from the Norman cherise.
