The Cessna Citation II is a light corporate jet built by Cessna. Developed in the 1970s, it first flew on January 31 1977.

The improved S550 Citation SII first flew on February 14 1984. Improvements included a new wing designed using supercritical technology and JT15D4B turbofans. The SII replaced the II in production from 1984, but the II returned to the lineup from late 1985. Both remained in production until the introduction of the Bravo.

The Citation II was also used by the United States Navy to train its radar officers and assigned the US military designation T-47 for the aircraft, which is modified by incorporating multiple radar consoles and the AN/APQ-162 radar (A successor to AN/APQ-157).
