Chicken fingers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Image:Chicken fingers and fries.jpgChicken Fingers (also called Chicken Tenders or Chicken Strips) are a style of fried chicken that do not include any bones or skin. They are prepared by dipping chicken tenders in a breaded mixture and then deep fried. Traditionally, chicken fingers are primarily white meat, but this is not always the case. They are usually served along with dipping sauces, usually sweet and sour, honey mustard, honey garlic, ranch, barbecue, blue cheese, caesar, sweet onion, chipotle, zesty, teryiaki, but also a variety of hot sauces such as buffalo sause, and of course good old fashioned ketchup.
[edit] Variations
- Chicken Finger Subs are simply chicken fingers on a roll, usually covered in hot sauce.
- Chicken Nuggets are small chicken fingers, often no bigger than 5-7 cm.
- Boneless Buffalo Wings (aka Buffalo Fingers) are not actually wings at all, but rather a type of chicken fingers cooked in buffalo sauce.
