The Chinese slayer is a fictional character and a Vampire Slayer in the Buffyverse.

This young girl was a Slayer during the 1890s and 1900s. She was a skilled slayer who was very close to her family, and knew of her destiny. In 1900, Angelus, Darla, Spike, and Drusilla came to China for the Boxer Rebellion. The slayer took on Spike in a Chinese Temple and scarred him for the rest of his life by cutting him over his left eye with her sword. She had Spike pinned up against a wall, ready to stake him but an explosion outside rocked the building and she lost control of the situation. In the end, Spike won and drained her of her blood, leaving her in the temple to burn.

As the slayer died she said, in Chinese, "Please tell my mother that I am sorry." Spike replies with "Sorry love, I don't speak Chinese."

[edit] Comics

The Chinese slayer also appeared in the Spike & Dru comic, All's Fair, in which she was given the name Xin Rong. In this comic, Xin's family got revenge by sending her brothers after Spike and Drusilla. They tracked Spike and his partner Drusilla down in Prague. In Chicago, Illinois, 1933, the avengers of Xin Rong finally caught up with Spike and Dru. They beat and tortured Drusilla so badly she did not recover for 10 years. But the two vampires were ready for them, and with the help of a chaos demon, the Rong family line ended there.

[edit] Novels

According to Blackout (page 103), the Chinese Slayer rescued a Buddhist monk from a dragon who rewarded her with an enchanted sword. She later used it to scar Spike's eyebrow. The enchantment of the sword explains why Spike's scar did not heal (as Vampires' scars should usually heal due to their supernatural healing abilities)
