[edit] Company history
Chinga Chang Records was created by 22-year-old Daniel "DMAK" Herman, first as a artist management firm outside Philadelphia. After apearing on Shade 45 with DJ Cipha Sounds in August 2005, DMAK decided he wanted to open a production company. In 2005 Chinga Chang Records signed the godfather of gangster hip hop Kool G Rap to a production deal. In January 2007 the Kool G Rap EP: "Half A Clip" will be released. The EP has production from DJ Premier.
The label's first release was the single "MEAL OF THE DAY" by company artist TEMP, followed by the mix tape Chang Gang VOL 1: Stackin EUROS. Although being sold exclusivly in europe, it was received very well. With stand out tracks from KRS1, Ras Kass, Big Pun and Sean Price.
