Christopher Parker

Christopher Parker (born August 24 1983) is an English actor. He is most notable in the role of Spencer Moon in the BBC soap opera EastEnders.
His other roles include appearances in The Bill, Londons Burning and as a stunt double in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Following his fame on EastEnders he appeared in the first series of Strictly Come Dancing, and made it through to the final.
In November 2004 Parker hit the headlines in the UK because it was revealed he had attempted suicide by slashing his wrists. It had been alleged by The Sun (a tabloid newspaper) that he had paid a girl to claim that she had slept with him in an attempt to dispel rumours which alleged that he might be gay. Parker denied this. Due to personal reasons - most likely as a result of stress caused by the rumours - Parker took leave from EastEnders, and subsequently left his employment in that capacity entirely of his own volition. In September 2005 he won his legal action against The Sun for stating that he was sacked from EastEnders.
Parker won the TRIC (TV and Radio Industry Club) awards for best new TV talent in 2005.
Since leaving EastEnders, he has worked as a presenter on CD:UK, MTV News, CBBC and as an entertainment reporter on the morning television show This Morning. He has also completed two London Marathons, once for the charity Barnardos and the second for the Make Poverty History Campaign.
He is now presenting a show alongside Gail Porter called Dead Famous Live and is filming for the popular BBC Drama Hotel Babylon. He is also presenting on the music channel Bubble Hits.
