Color Line AS is the largest cruiseferry liner operating on routes to and from Norway. The company is also one of the leading operators in Europe. Color Line provides transportation solutions for people and cargo, hotel accommodation, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The company currently employs 3500 people in four countries.

Color Line main office is in Oslo, but the company also have offices in Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Sandefjord and Larvik in addition to international offices in Kiel, Fredrikshavn, Hirtshals and Strömstad.

Color Line’s parent company, Color Group ASA was established in 1990 as a result of a merger between Jahre Line and Norway Line. The same year, Color Line took over Fred. Olsen Lines cruiseferry operations and then expanded its business further.

In October 1996 the company acquired Larvik Line, while Scandi Line joined the group in September 1998. The Color Hotel Skagen was also acquired in September 1998.

Color Line has roots in the ferry business that go back more than 100 years.
