Cookham Wood (HM Prison)

HM Prison Cookham Wood is a closed prison for adult women near Rochester in Kent, England. It currently has an operational capacity of 140 inmates. It is estimated that more than 40% of the current prison population are captured drug mules, picked up at London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
The drug-smuggler Doreen Gregory is currently serving the remainder of a Thai sentence in Cookham Wood. The child-killer Myra Hindley served much of her prison in Cookham Wood.
