Crimond

Crimond is a village in the northeast of Scotland.

It is on the A90 road seven miles northwest of the port of Peterhead. During World War II it hosted RNAS Rattray at NK070580, the site of the base remains in Ministry of Defence hands as a wireless station.

The 23rd Psalm ("The Lord is my Shepherd") is traditionally sung to the tune 'Crimond'.

Crimond is the home of the Prince of Wales's Own Regiment Bagpipers.

The Crimond Church has an extra minute between the eleven and twelve making for 61 minutes in the hour.
