A cubic foot is an Imperial / U.S. customary (non-metric) unit of volume, used in the United States, Canada and the UK. It is defined as the volume of a cube with sides of 1 foot (0.3048 m) in length.

A standard cubic foot (abbreviated scf) is sometimes but not always a cubic foot of volume at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and 14.7 pounds per square inch (PSI) of pressure. The standard cubic foot is used to measure quantities of gas. See standard temperature and pressure.

Trillion cubic feet, commonly abbreviated as Tcf, is used in the oil and gas industry. The term trillion in this case refers to 10¹², the short scale definition employed by most English speaking countries.
