Curb stomping, also known as curbing, "curb checking", or biting the curb, describes an act of violent execution in which the victim's head, or rather mouth is positioned against a curb (as if he were biting it) and applying a large amount of force to the back of the head, usually by stomping. When applied to the base of the neck, the result is a broken neck. When applied to the crown of the skull, the force is directed toward the jaw, separating it from the skull.

Curbing is often associated with gangs, particularly Nazi skinheads.

Such an act was depicted in the 1998 movie, American History X, which features Derek, one of the film's protagonists, murdering a man who had been in the process of stealing Derek's car by curb-stomping him.

Professional wrestlers Super Dragon and Simon Dean have a trademark move that they call the Curb Stomp
