Cynoglossus |
Tonguefishes are a family, Cynoglossidae, of flatfishes.<ref name="fishbase">"Cynoglossidae". FishBase. Ed. Ranier Froese and Daniel Pauly. February 2006 version. N.p.: FishBase, 2006.</ref>
They are found in tropical and subtropical oceans, mainly in shallow waters and estuaries, though a few species found in deep sea floors, and a few in rivers.
